  • COMPOSITE RESIN RESTORATIONS

Composite restorations are tooth coloured or white permanent fillings and are suitable in most areas of the mouth. They are bonded to the tooth to restore strength and integrity. They are minimally invasive, can be applied in one visit and provides a very good aesthetic result.

  • DENTAL VENEERS

Dental veneers are usually made from porcelain and are thin laminates that are custom made and tooth colour matched. They are designed to cover the front surface of damaged or discoloured teeth or close gaps between front teeth. These laminates are bonded to the front surface of your teeth to restore its integrity, shape, size and appearance. It is a minimally invasive procedure and can provide a very good aesthetic result.

  • DENTAL CROWNS

A Dental Crown is a laboratory constructed appliance which is bonded over a prepared tooth to restore its integrity, shape, size and colour. They are tooth colour matched and can provide a very good aesthetic result. Dental crowns can be constructed from a variety of materials including porcelain bonded to metal or metal free ceramic. Your dental practitioner will instruct you on the most suitable option to meet your specific needs.

  • DENTAL BRIDGES

A Conventional Dental Bridge is a laboratory constructed appliance used to replace a missing tooth and can be constructed to replace front or back teeth. The teeth on either side of the missing tooth will require reduction to allow the bridge to be cemented in place. Like a dental crown, a bridge is tooth colour matched and can be constructed from a variety of materials including porcelain bonded to metal or metal free ceramic. They are strong, durable and can provide a very good aesthetic result.

  • CANTILEVER DENTAL BRIDGE

A Cantilever Bridge is a laboratory constructed appliance used to replace a missing tooth and is usually constructed to replace a single front tooth. The tooth on one side of the gap is prepared to allow seating of a 2 unit laboratory constructed bridge. They are strong, durable and can provide a very good aesthetic result.

  • RESIN BONDED BRIDGE

A Resin Bonded Bridge is also called an Acid Etch bridge or a Maryland bridge. This is a Minimally Invasive approach to replacing a missing front or back tooth. It is a laboratory constructed appliance that requires little or no tooth preparation. Like a dental crown or bridge the resin bonded bridge can be constructed from porcelain bonded to metal or metal-free ceramic or a combination of both. It consists of 1 or 2 wings bonded to the inside of the adjacent tooth or teeth. It can provide a strong a durable fixed restoration with good aesthetics. Your suitability for a resin bonded bridge will have to be determined by your dental professional.

  • ROOT CANAL THERAPY

Root canal treatment is undertaken when the tooth nerve is irreversibly damaged or has died due to trauma or decay. The infected nerve and pulp chamber is precisely cleaned, decontaminated and sealed in order to save the tooth from being lost. Once root canal therapy has been completed it is advisable to have a conservatively prepped crown or an onlay to protect the tooth from fracture and restore the tooth function. Preservation of natural tooth substance is always our priority. Your dental practitioner will suggest the most suitable crown option to meet your specific needs.

  • DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants are becoming more popular as their success rates increase provided they are performed by a qualified and experienced practitioner. Implants can be placed as single or multiple units or to support a denture. It involves placing a small titanium fixture within the bone to replace the missing tooth root. After integration of the implant a permanent crown or bridge can be constructed over the stable implant fixture. This crown will be tooth colour matched and provides excellent stability and aesthetics. Dental implants are tooth preserving as they do not require adjacent teeth to be prepared.

In situations where teeth are un-restorable and have a poor prognosis, an immediate denture can be constructed fairly quickly. • CLEAR ALIGNERS

Clear aligners are the modern way of straightening your teeth. They include a sequence of thin, removable and extra- transparent plastic trays. Each tray guides your teeth into a desired position, giving you an aesthetically and functionally perfected smile. The hardly noticeable trays allow for the most discreet treatment.
