Daksha, known as Dee, completed her dental training at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1999. She took ownership of the former Egan Dental Care in November 2019 following the retirement of Malachy Egan. Her interests lie in restorative and aesthetic dentistry and her strength is supporting dental phobic patients through their dental journey by creating a relationship through compassion and good communication.
Daksha completed a diploma in Restorative Dental Practice in 2020 at the Eastman Institute in London, passing with a distinction. She has expanded the range of restorative treatments on offer and strongly believes in Minimally Invasive Dentistry. Her 'Wellness Centred' approach aims to support patient's dental and general wellbeing. Since 2004 she has treated generations of family members seeing children grow up and have families of their own. She believes communication, trust and expertise is key to a longstanding relationship between all members of the dental team. Daksha is married to Richard and has a young son Lukesh. In her free time she loves cooking, gardening and travelling with her family.
